Dr. Nielsen is an Anesthesiologist that has been specializing in taking care of plastic surgery patient’s needs for over 10 years. In 2009, he became the Medical Director of the San Francisco Rejuvenation CenterTM.

He trained at the University of Southern California and is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist. After residency he moved to Northern California and has made it his home. He has taken a special interest in volunteering his time for cleft lip and palate trips in third world countries. In his free time he loves to travel, kite surf and mountain bike.

Committed to giving his patients the best possible care combining both art and science for a result that is naturally beautiful, Dr. Maas offers a variety of procedures through two distinct practices: The Maas ClinicTM, founded in 2002, and the Appearance Care CenterTM, a state-of-the-art medical spa facility, offering a wide variety of minimally invasive treatments and services.

For the last two and a half decades, Dr. Maas has dedicated himself to helping advance the field of facial plastic surgery with groundbreaking clinical research, receiving countless honors and awards for his endeavors, including the prestigious Sir Harold Delf Gilles Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has published more than 100 book chapters, articles and is regularly recruited to lecture to medical societies, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Maas is also responsible for the specialty education of facial plastic surgery to residents and medical students.

Dr. Jason Dudas is a plastic surgeon with extensive experience in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He is passionate about helping his patients look and feel their best, and understands the profound effect that one’s appearance can have on self-esteem and psychological well-being. Dr. Dudas focuses on getting to know every patient, identifying their goals, designing an individualized treatment plan, and ensuring that each patient is comfortable with and excited about their upcoming transformation.

He attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh, and during that time he also completed a National Institutes of Health (NIH) research fellowship, studying the use of stem cells in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Dudas then completed his plastic surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis, where he was trained in all areas of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breast, and body. His research has been extensively published in medical and scientific journals.

Dr. Shahin Javaheri

Dr. Shahin Javaheri, is a second-generation surgeon whose father was an accomplished aesthetic surgeon in Southern California. He is double Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology (ENT).

His education includes graduating from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, surgical residency from University of California Davis, Otolaryngology residency from the University of California Irvine, and residency in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery from University of South Florida. Dr Javaheri’s specialty is reconstructive and plastic surgery of the breast and body.

Dr. James Romano is a highly respected and sought after board-certified plastic surgeon in the San Francisco Bay area.  Dr. Romano is known for his artistry in plastic surgery whose story is best told through before and after images. Achieving beautiful contours and natural results.

Dr. James Romano has extensive training and much more than the typical plastic surgeon. Including five years of general surgery residency at New York University and Georgetown University followed by three years of plastic residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Facial Plastic Surgery

Dr. Sheu began his higher education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was a Dean’s list student and earned a degree in Biology in 2000. After his graduation, he was awarded a yearlong research fellowship by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where he worked on an offshoot of the Human Genome Project.

Before dedicating his career to the field of medicine, Dr. Sheu spent two years of graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley where he earned his Master of Public Health, followed by a Master of Science degree at Georgetown University. He then enrolled at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, where he graduated from in 2008.

Upon graduation, he moved to the heart of New York City, where he completed his residency training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at New York University. In his free time he enjoys cooking, fishing, following his favorite sports teams, and enjoying new restaurants. Dr. Sheu’s future plans may include returning to practice near his family home in Southern California, although he looks forward to opportunities in the greater Bay Area.

Dr. Stuart Seiff

Oculoplastic Surgery

Dr. Seiff is board certified in ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Seiff was the Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at UCSF and Chief of Ophthalmology at San Francisco General Hospital for over 20 years. He is now Emeritus Professor of Ophthalmology at UCSF.

He continues to serve as a consultant in oculofacial and aesthetic plastic surgery at UCSF, SFGH, California Pacific Medical Center and Mills Peninsula Medical Center. He is the founding director of the Pacific Center for Oculofacial and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Seiff is a popular lecturer nationally and internationally in the areas of orbital and oculofacial and aesthetic plastic surgery. He has a particular interest in the management of thyroid eye disease. He has published several hundred scientific papers, books, and chapters in these areas and serves on the editorial board for the journal, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as being a reviewer for many other journals.

Dr. Allen Lavee

Dr. Allen Lavee

Dr. Lavee received his BA in Medical Illustration from UC Berkeley, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His residency was at UC San Francisco, and included two years of General Surgery prior to his training in Anesthesia.

He has a fellowship in outpatient anesthesia (UCSF), and has had extensive (over 20 years) experience in various hospitals and surgery centers in the SF Bay Area. Dr. Lavee has numerous hobbies and interests, including metal sculpture, oil and watercolor painting, piano, photography, travel, biking, and swimming.
